Greetings, and welcome to our first Weekly Roundup! (Don’t worry: it’s the good kind of roundup, not the bad kind of Roundup™.)
The pithy Pythia has shown me portents promising that this new endeavor will prove pivotal in my Substack’s continued ascent to total world domination. (Don’t worry: it’s the good kind of total world domination, not the bad kind of total world domination.)
There are two main purposes to this series:
I’ve been enjoying Notes here on Substack. Over the course of the week, I find it a great place to quickly give form to some fleeting musings before they flit out of my mind forever. However, not everyone has the time or inclination to keep up with Notes, so many of these quips are tantamount to soundless trees toppling over in an uninhabited forest. To help them at least make a little noise, I have decided to compile a curated list of them—a kind of “Best Hits”—each week and share them here for your perusal. Often, these incipient ideas are generated from the brilliant Notes of other writers appearing in my feed, so I will also mix in links to the thought-provoking work of other I come across via Notes.
I’ve been toying with the idea of adding a paid subscription option here at my Temple to Truth so that I can continue to devote the necessary time to craft such sublimity, and also afford to pay my staff of hardworking Muses amid skyrocketing nectar and ambrosia prices. (That Muses’ Union means business.) Fear not! I shall still keep the majority of my writing free as it releases to the good people of Gaia, but adding in the options for bonus content like this, audio versions of articles, and perhaps archiving older posts are all possibilities I am weighing. To that end, any suggestions, requests, or enormous donations are always welcome here. Especially the latter.
So, with that in mind, let’s begin!
My Notes of note:
Are we going to see a Republican version of the Democrat Party’s perennial primary antics?
The Neo-Marxist Shell Game
If you know, you know.
This still boggles my mind.
This also still boggles my mind. (I’m oft boggled.)
Notable Works from Others:
Great takes on Biden, Big Pharma, Ukraine, and economics from
Great piece on the intellectual, spiritual revolution we face from
Great article about the high cost of sanity during Covid hysteria by
Great interpretation of Star Trek from
Quote of the Week:
"It is no measure of good health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society."
— Jiddu Krishnamurti
Joke of the Week:
Question: What did the transwoman wear to his wedding?
Answer: A “TUCK”SEEDO! *cue cymbal crash*
That’s all she wrote, folks! Have a great week, and…
